An insanely beautiful antique peplum blouse, estimated civil war era with appliqués added sometime in the 1940s-1960s. This blouse was probably part of a skirt set and may have been altered throughout the course of time. Rich purple wool fabric, silky polished cotton copper lining, white cotton appliqués and waist tie. The poet sleeves are structured and have incredible volume.
Measurements of garment, allow space for fit. Taken flat, doubled for circumference Shown on a size 4 dress form
Condition: Very good antique. Light watermarks to wool, minor pilling and fraying, small stain on appliqué, waist belt in fragile shape, and lining is torn on inside and visible at hem from the outside.
